ZEFIX

ZEFIX brings together the entries of the cantonal commercial registers. For each entity it gives the business name, the legal form, the registered office, the business identification number, the status and the history of publications — registrations, amendments, deletions.

For a location study, its most useful reading is historical: the succession of registrations and deletions at one and the same address reveals abnormal turnover that no average will show.

Its limit lies in its perimeter: it records only registered entities. Sole proprietorships turning over less than 100,000 francs do not necessarily appear, and a registered company may operate no point of sale at all.
